What Is Existential Logotherapy and Why It Matters Now More Than Ever

“What’s the point of all this?”

"Why do I feel so disconnected?”

''How do I live with intention, not just distraction?”

And I’ve asked those same questions myself.

What Is Existential Logotherapy?

In simple terms, existential logotherapy is a form of therapy that helps people reconnect with meaning not as a vague idea, but as a lived experience.

It isn’t about fixing what's “wrong” with you. It’s about helping you face what matters, navigate the unknown, and respond to life as it really is, not as you wish it were.

Unlike many modern therapies that revolve around behavioural change, logotherapy begins with a deeper premise:

You are more than your past. More than your diagnosis.

You are a being capable of finding meaning even in struggle.

Why I Use It

I’ve worked with people who are successful on paper, but quietly drifting. People who’ve been diagnosed with ADHD late in life, and feel like their entire story needs to be rewritten. People who don’t need a motivational quote they need space to ask real questions without judgment.

I use existential logotherapy because it holds space for those moments when the problem isn’t just anxiety or distraction it’s the feeling that life has lost its “why.”

Why Now?

We live in a world built for scrolling, reacting, performing. But under it all, something quieter keeps tugging at us. That tug is what logotherapy listens to.

It’s not about being happy all the time. It’s about being anchored.

 Being honest with yourself.

And choosing to respond to life, even when you can’t control it.

What Happens in a Session?

Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we pause. Sometimes we map out meaning like a story waiting to be rewritten.

You won’t find rigid worksheets or empty affirmations here. You’ll find a place to:

  • Make sense of your own contradictions

  • See what your pain might be trying to tell you

  • Reconnect with what you still care about even if it’s buried deep

Final Thought

I won’t promise clarity in one session. But I will promise my presence. And that’s where meaning begins.

If you’re tired of advice and ready for reflection, let’s talk.
